Mrs
Rusty Walkley, who had studied at the Royal School of Needlework in
London, founded The Embroiderers’ Guild of WA in 1969, in the
same month, July, when the Americans landed on the moon.
Rusty gathered a few ladies who
wanted to learn and promote the art of needle work and over the next
few years The Guild grew in numbers and skill.
Now The Guild has its own headquarters
and a very full timetable of workshops.
The workshops deliver a huge range
of knowledge and opportunity for skill acquisition.
New members are always welcome.
