This canvas work embroidery design is based on the Long Time Gone quilt by Jen Kingwell. Suitable for beginners through to experienced embroiderers.
Full colour charts and stitch diagrams for all the blocks will be supplied.
These lessons are available to country members by remote learning. To book for remote learning click on link below and choose the ‘On line’ workshop.
The BOM format includes 10 lessons. There are at least 16 unique blocks in the design. Lessons 1-4 and Lessons 6-9 will cover at least 2 blocks per session. Lessons 5 and 10 will be catch up sessions to enable you to consolidate everything you have learnt so far.
The design is worked on 24-count Congress cloth. The finished size on this count is 39cm x 39cm. If you are concerned that 24-count is a little fine, then you could work on 18-count canvas and the finished size will be approximately 52cm x 52cm. Or if you like the challenge of working finer, on a 28-count evenweave fabric the finished size will be approximately 33cm x 33cm.
