This is a typical Elizabethan design with a tree of life as the central feature surrounded by an abundance of small animals, flowers and plants. This piece has been designed to complement the other panels of the casket. It is stitched in Gumnut Yarn silks on a linen background.
Skill Level: Ladies need to have done previous casket panels as only new elements will be covered in this workshop
Kit: $75 Kit contains pattern with detailed instructions, colour photo, 55 count Kingston linen printed with design and prepared with backing, extra Gum Nut Yarn silks needed for the panel.
2b Peacock and Pomegranate */**/***
This design features a peacock sitting on a branch surrounded by a pomegranate, butterfly and caterpillar, displaying his magnificent tail feathers. This piece has been designed as an introductory piece for ladies wanting to experience Elizabethan embroidery. It is stitched in Gumnut Yarns “stars” silk and DMC Coton a Broder 25 threads on a linen background and uses stitches and techniques from this period.
Use: The piece can be framed, used for the top of a box or used for the front of a needlecase.
