Chinese embroidery - Camelia

Margaret Lee is offering workshops for both those who merely wish to try this elegant and disciplined art form as well as those of you who would like to work your way through the different phases of the official program for Chinese Embroidery.

This design of a single camellia is one of the most sought after design from Margaret’s portfolio. In this class, participants will learn to embroider with filament silk and learn the art of beautiful silk shading in the traditional Chinese ‘Su’ style.

You will need to attend from Wednesday to Saturday and have the option of attending on Sunday as well.

For continuing students, Margaret will work with you on your individual project level. If you are moving to the next level or have completed your current project please advise the Workshop Registrar, Liz Robson, and Margaret will contact you to discuss your options and choices.

A framing session will be held on Tuesday afternoon 1 August. The exact time will be included on the Requirements List. It is important to attend this so that class time can be devoted to embroidery.
