Chinese Embroidery

Tutor Margaret Lee

May 2 - 4 2018
Place Guild House, 565 Canning Highway, Alfred Cove
Time 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

This design of a lotus bud is an ideal ‘taste of’ project in the ‘Su’ style of traditional Chinese Art Embroidery. In this class, participants will learn to embroider with filament silk and the techniques to achieving beautiful silk shading in the Chinese tradition. For continuing students or those wishing to commence the formal program, Margaret will work with you on your individual project level. If you are moving to the next level or have completed your current project please advise the Guild and Margaret will contact you to discuss your options and choices.

A framing session will be held on Tuesday afternoon 1 May. The exact time will be included on the Requirements List. It is important to attend this so that class time can be devoted to embroidery.
