This workshop is aimed at exploring the effects of altering thread type, varying stitch length, proportions and distorting stitches in producing exciting textures in creative embroidery. Threads and yarns used will range widely from machine thread, stranded and perlé to wool and novelty yarns – perhaps even string! This is to be an opportunity to stretch the boundaries of basic stitches and have fun!
No kit will be provided. Participants are expected to bring, and share, their own materials.
