“Forest Floor” in Various Stitches

Tutor Jan Pilgrim

October 5 - 7 2018
Place Guild House, 565 Canning Highway, Alfred Cove
Time 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

This design is a decaying Forest Floor with dead eucalyptus leaves, ferns and logs that are left to mulch on the ground.

The project has a lot of styles of embroidery included in it. These being Surface Stitchery, Stump Work, Needle lace, Needle Felting and Finger Knitting. It is a great project using lots of stitches to create the texture that Jan wanted.

Students have said that they didn’t realise that the stitches used could create the texture. Come along and have fun learning all the different embroidery stitches and using different textile pieces.
