The Pashtun people of Afghanistan work Pashtun embroidery. Students attending the workshop will make a small purse (approximately 11cm square when folded up) using the traditional metal thread couching style of this type of embroidery. Alison provides a kit containing the prepared metal threads and mirrors used for the embroidery. Students do not need experience of metal thread embroidery for this workshop, which is suitable for all levels of embroiderer.

There will be some preparation needed prior to the course and this will be sent out in good time before the workshop. Please enrol early.
