No 6 – Turkman Cap

Tutor Alison Snepp

June 6 - 7 2019
Place Baptist Church, Frape Street, Yokine
Time 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Students attending this workshop make a cap inspired by traditional caps in Alison’s collection. It will be pieced, lined and then embroidered. Each student will be provided with some handwoven Japanese Kimono fabric to use as the key fabric in the cap. They will supplement this with fabrics of their own to give an individual look.  Each student will be given a small pack of charms and beads suitable for the talisman to give each cap an individual finish.  The caps will be pieced before they are embroidered using surface stitchery techniques.

There is some preparation needed prior to the workshop. A full list will be sent to you on enrolment.
